Day 36
Jack is tipping the scale at 3lbs, 1oz today! He is doing very well. Angie gave him his bath this afternoon, and took part in a few of his care sessions today. We spent some time with him this evening getting him fed and ready for bed.
The doctors think Jack will be ready to be off the ventilator soon, and on to something called CPAP. This will help him breathe using nasal prongs with oxygen and some ventilator control, but he won’t have to have a tube down his throat and he will be taking all the breaths on his own.
We are so happy to be planning Jack’s homecoming, and we look forward to seeing our friends and family all together at Jack’s party!
