Miserable

Normally I don't mind winter weather...but when you have a kiddo who uses a wheelchair it becomes a big deal.  Rain, not so bad -- I just throw a rain poncho over Jack and it covers him, the wheelchair, and his back pack.  Ice?  Not so fun.  My big fear is falling while carrying him outside or dropping the wheelchair!  This morning it was icy out front and I got soaked getting him on the bus.  I'd take snow over ice because at least it's fun to play in and doesn't make the sidewalk as treacherous

Just sharin' the misery!

Hopefully the rain and ice will stop before the bus gets here this afternoon!

  1. I agree so much. I actually had Kennedy skip school Monday because I slipped to many times in my own driveway that I didnt want to take the chance of dropping her or falling with her.

  2. Hear ya on the ice! I fell when I went out on my own! Pretty much that's been the last month or so here, a lovely pattern of rain, ice, then snow, rain, ice, snow... Our kids went skating in our driveway. I hope it lets up for both of us soon. :(

  5. Angela, I don't often feel grateful for living in South Texas, but thank you for the friendly reminder that I am indeed blessed. That would be an absolute nightmare!

  6. And here we sit, sweltering in 38 degrees. Even the pool is getting too hot to cool off. Sending you some warmth...
