Day 19
We had a very special evening with Jack. We spent a lot of time telling him all about our day and telling him how much everyone loves him. I got to take his temperature and change his diaper and the little guy didn’t even wait for me to get the new diaper on, if you know what I mean! He was moving his arms and kicking his legs so hard, but after he was done with his care session, he settled right back to sleep. Jason even hummed a few tunes to him. He looked so comfortable and warm in his bed when we left him.
Jack’s Doctor was very pleased that his oxygen settings were down to 21% (room air) for a long stretch this afternoon. She was also pleased that they will soon be able to take him off his IV nutrients and have him depend only on formula for his nutrition. He has no problems taking his feedings. He’ll soon be ready for Grandma Josie’s Sunday dinners!
